The futuristic aesthetic in Ron Arad's designs

Ron arad He is a contemporary industrial designer considered to be one of the most influential today. 

He was born in Tel Aviv in 1951, his father was a painter, his mother photographer and his younger brother is a renowned violinist, so the creative vein is latent. 

He studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Art and at the Architectural Association of London.

From its first pieces it was characterized by innovating by mixing rare materials in furniture such as welded steel sheet,yes how to exploit possibilities and functional qualities. 

Arad has also worked with companies such as Alessi, Vitra, Flos, Artemide and Kartell.

 

Futuristic aesthetics

 

In 1971 he opened his first studio: One Off, together with Caroline Thorman. While in 1994 he founded Ron Arad Studio, in Italy. 

His futuristic deliveries attracted international attention, both in furniture and construction. 

However, he has also dedicated part of his time to teaching, which he considers fundamental in every way. 

Avant-garde and free, Ron Arad, oscillates between art, architecture, interior design and design. 

The combinations he makes result in highly sculptural objects.
