Valladolid 52 It was a quiet house a few years ago, with time it was changing until it was transformed into a museum. Today it is called Guillermo Tovar de Teresa House Museum.

Don Guillermo He was a magnificent historian, promoter, collector of Mexican art and philanthropist who died in the 57 years, leaving a great cultural heritage in Mexico.

From a very young age he developed a passion for culture and books thanks to the close relationship he had with his grandfather and his father. The 13 was counselor of the Presidency of the Republic and the 23 published his first book Painting and sculpture of Renaissance in Mexico.

This inveterate autodidact protected with great dedication the historical-cultural heritage in Mexico and published books related to baroque and viceregal art, among other topics.

Today Valladolid 52, the nostalgic home of Tovar de Teresa, is open to the public and thanks to this opportunity we can discover the intimate side of this great character of culture.
