Connie Butler, chief curator and assistant curator Alexandra Schwartz of the Museum of Modern Art in New York tell us about the most recent book published by them, "Modern Women: Women Artists at The Museum of Modern Art" which discusses the role of women Artists in the museum and art in general. Given the interest of the public seeking to know more about the role of women in art, addressed this concern from a perspective that is far from the documentation in terms of gender, Alexandra Schwartz makes the point that when an exhibition is made, whatever it is about, if all of the artists are men it is not mentioned as an important aspect of exposure, so in an exhibition consisting only of women artists shouldn’t be mentioned as well. No longer seeks to make a difference in gender or race, but handle them all as artists.
