To celebrate the beginning of extension works to be performed at the Tate Modern, the artist Martin Karlsson was invited to participate showing his work on the hoarding enclosing the construction work. The 100 meters long hoarding will be decorated with the work of Swedish artist, who takes as its inspiration the work of Gustave Doré's published in 1872 a series of Gothic prints that portray the city, now Karlsson is looking to upgrade this portrait of the city and its inhabitants. His work will remain until December 2010.
